General Information:
I have an opening in my laboratory for a Masters student to work on Physaria globosa, a Federally endangered plant species found in TN, KY, and IN. Building on previous research in our lab, the potential candidate will complete a common garden study with seed samples from across the range of P. globosa. Objectives include the development of a life cycle graph and transition matrix using morphometric characteristics. Possible pollination biology work as well. Some field surveys will also be performed for sites in Tennessee. Our department offers 9 month TA support for Masters students. The USFWS will also fund a summer stipend for two years. Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field.
Responsibilities:
Student will serve as a teaching assistant for courses including General Botany and Field Botany. Field work will occur on campus and possibly at sites in TN, KY, or IN.
